Lynette Eastmond is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the University of London, England. She was also a Fellow of International Fiscal Association in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After being admitted to the Barbados Bar in 1988 she established her own practice before moving on to PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Barbados where she reached the level of Senior Manager. . She was assigned to work in Jersey, the Channel Islands and also Birmingham, England.

In 2008 she re-established her practice after serving as a Senator and Minister of Commerce, Consumer Affairs and Business Development in the Barbados Government. .
